NeoShuffle uses an overhead camera to track puck positions in real time. The environment around the table has a direct effect on detection accuracy.
Lighting
- No direct sunlight on the playing surface. If a table is near a window, blinds or curtains must cover it during operating hours.
- No harsh or flashing lights pointing at the surface - spotlights, stage lights, strobing signage, colour-changing mood lighting all degrade detection.
- Stable, even overhead lighting across the full length of the table.
Camera
- The camera must have an unobstructed view of the entire table, please consider this, particularly when positioning the camera above the TV.
- Do not move or re-aim the camera. If it's bumped during cleaning or maintenance please recalibrate the table. You may have to readjust the camera position if it no longer has the entire table in frame.
- Please ensure that the camera lens is clean of dust and smudges, this can cause dead spots in the detection of pucks
Table
- The table must be stable and level, if the pucks tend to one side during gameplay the table must be re-levelled
- If the playing surface shifts the pucks will no longer be detected accurately and will need to be recalibrated
- Wax and Sand must be evenly applied to ensure smooth gameplay
Pucks
- Only use standard NeoShuffle red and blue pucks. Yellow, white, or other colours will not be detected.
- Order replacements via Hudson Shuffleboards:
