Ultradarts Games Guide

Ultradarts has six game modes, appealing to a broad range of playstyles. Every game consists of the same basic structure: players take turns throwing their 3 darts, depending on the game this will continue until either 1 person achieves a specific score or until all rounds have been played.

Easy

Easy to pick up. Perfect for groups warming up or diving straight in.

101

Players must decrease their score from 101 to 0. Going below 0 causes you to 'bust' and your turn is over. A straightforward experience enjoyable for amateurs and sharpshooters.

Ultradarts

Ultradarts is an original game designed to take full advantage of our automated scoring system and provide a truly unique experience. Over 5 rounds, players take turns to land their 3 darts as close to the bullseye as possible. Bonus points are assigned for consistency and improvement. The value of each throw increases as the game progresses.

Medium

For those that want a challenge.

Shanghai

A variation of the traditional darts game, players take turns to throw their 3 darts at the target wedge for that round. The value of each successful throw increases over the course of the game, allowing every player the opportunity to make a comeback, until the very end.

Footy

Our interpretation of Australian Rules Football. The game is played over 4 rounds. Each turn players try to hit a target wedge, which changes each round. Hitting the target wedge is a goal, which is worth 6 points, the 2 wedges either side are worth 1 point each.

Hard

Where aim, control, and consistency make all the difference. These games require skill to play effectively and are preferred by the most competitive groups.

301

301 is an extended version of 101. Players must decrease their score from 301 to 0. Going below 0 causes you to 'bust' and your turn is over.

Around the World

Players must hit each wedge on the board from 1 to 20 in sequence. The first person to hit 20 and cross the finish line wins. Hitting triples and doubles gives an extra boost.

Common player questions

"What's the best game for beginners?" We encourage new players to begin with either 101 or Ultradarts as they require the least skill and are designed to be fast and enjoyable for inexperienced players.

"How long does a game take?" The length of each game is determined by player skill, the number of players and game difficulty. For an inexperienced group easier game modes will be roughly 5 minutes per player. Prior to starting a game an estimate is shown to players based on their session information.

"Can we change games mid-session?" Yes. Players can quit a game at any time and select a new one from the kiosk. This is a great way to mix things up and players are encouraged to find the right game for them.
