What You're Seeing
When the PC is turned on:
The TV is showing "No Signal" (or a black screen with a floating HDMI message)
The game is displaying, but frozen
A black screen with white text is displaying
TV is showing 'No Signal'
Why This Happens
Some TVs do not automatically support HDMI configurations by default. In particular modern Samsung and LG TVs require minor configuration to be compatible with Ultradarts. This can also happen as a result of a HDMI cable that is damaged, too long or insufficient for 4K video display.
Resolution Steps
- Ensure the Ultradarts unit is powered on
- Ensure the HDMI cable is securely connected at both ends
- Check that the HDMI cable is connected to the GPU output, not the motherboard
Once these have been checked proceed to the section specific to your brand of TV:
Samsung TVs
- Press
MenuorHomeon the remote. - Go to
Settings>General>External Device Manager>Input Signal Plus. - Enable
Input Signal Plusfor every HDMI port listed (not just the one you're using). - Turn the TV off and on again.
LG TVs
- Press
Settingson the remote (the gear icon). - Go to
Settings>General>Devices>HDMI Settings>Deep Color. - Enable
Deep Color. - Turn the TV off and on again.
