Regular cleaning keeps detection accurate and extends the life of the lane. The below guide outlines some daily steps that can be taken to maximize the longevity of your system.
Daily Routine
- Wax the table: Clear leftover wax from the playing surface, then re-apply evenly. Uneven or thick wax causes detection issues.
- Sand distribution: Spread sand evenly across the table.
- Visual camera check: Check for any dust or smudges on the camera lens and ensure there aren't any obstructions in the camera's line of sight? Do NOT touch the lens.
- Cable check: Visually inspect the camera USB cable and power cables for damage, kinks, or loose connections.
- Lightbar: Confirm it's still evenly lit. Please contact GXT if there are any dim or flickering segments.
- Kiosk: Wipe the iPad or touchscreen with a microfiber cloth
- TV: Dust the bezel; wipe the screen if needed.
