The Neoshuffle setup involves three steps: first, apply powdered wax evenly on the playing surface and ensure the camera has a clear view. Second, power on the TV, Neoshuffle unit, and kiosk, verifying connections and lighting. Third, run calibration only if the camera or table moves or puck positions are inaccurate, following the Calibration Guide.
Steps
Check conditions
- Apply powdered wax. Clear any leftover wax from the playing surface, then re-apply. Spread uniformly across the table with a consistent, mild coverage.
- Confirm the camera has a clear view of the entire playing surface with no obstructions.
Power up the system
- Power on the TV
- Power on the Neoshuffle unit using the power button on the primary PC
- You will see text on screen as the unit goes through it's boot and update procedures, within a minute the TV should display the Neoshuffle idle screen. If not:
- Check the TV is on the correct HDMI input and that the HDMI cable is connected securely
- Check the Neoshuffle computer is powered on
- The kiosk (iPad or touchscreen) should also display the kiosk idle screen. If not, restart it using its power button.
- Confirm the overhead table lighting (lightbar) is switched on. Detection will not work reliably without it.
Calibrate the system (Optional)
Neoshuffle calibration is not required daily - only run it if:
- The camera or table has moved
- Pucks positions are inaccurate in-game
If calibration is needed please follow the instructions as detailed in the Calibration Guide.
