Kiosk Settings Guide

The kiosk is the control hub for each Neoshuffle lane. This guide covers what's in the settings and when it is appropriate to use each option.

Opening settings

On the kiosk, either:

  • Tap anywhere on the idle screen, OR
  • Tap the timer that appears in the top right corner when a session is active

Enter the PIN when prompted. If you don't know your PIN please contact GXT.

Settings Tabs

Session

The session tab is displayed by default. It is used to open and close sessions.

Control What it does
Player Count The maximum number of players that will be able to join the session.
Session Time Used to adjust the session length, this can be adjusted at any time during a session.

Hosting & Avatars

The hosting and avatars tab allows you to tweak the player experience.

Control What it does
Enable Photo Avatars Allows players to take photos using the camera built into the kiosk/tablet. This feature may require additional configuration, please contact GXT if assistance is required.
Need Assistance and Requesting Food/Drink Toggling one or both of these options will display buttons in the bottom left corner of the kiosk whilst a session is active, when pressed these buttons display an overlay allowing staff to more easily identify customers in need of assistance.
Default Game Set the default game to be displayed to players. Defaults to Neoshuffle.

Configuration

Control What it does
Restart System Restarts the Neoshuffle software. This does NOT reboot the computer itself.
Reconnect Kiosk Forces the kiosk to reconnect to the central GXT servers.
Lane ID The unique identifier for this lane (e.g. onpar-2). Please consult GXT before modifying this value.
Table Calibration

Starts the calibration process.

Camera Settings

The camera settings are used to configure the detection and video replay cameras. Some settings may not display if the Video Replay feature is not enabled.

Control What it does
Reload Cameras Forces the Neoshuffle system to attempt to reload all cameras.
Assign Cameras Allows the user to assign which camera is used for detection and which to use for the action replay.
Replay Camera/Detection Camera Displays the relevant camera feed on the TV. Useful for ensure that the detection camera can see the entire board and the replay camera is well positioned and in focus.

Notes

  • Don't share your kiosk PIN with customers.
  • Don't change the Lane ID without guidance from GXT.
