Installation Steps

Part 1 - Mounting the Camera

NOTE

These instructions are written for the Neoshuffle Pro and Signature models, which have a built-in headboard. For custom lane configurations, follow the same steps with these considerations: the camera must be mounted 15–20 cm above the shuffleboard cradle, centred on the table, and positioned below the TV. Route the USB cable to the computer - typically along the same path as the HDMI cable for the TV.

Step 1 - Align the mounting bracket

Align the top of the mounting bracket to the edge of the headboard. Make sure the housing is centred.

Step 2 - Secure the housing

Secure the 4 qty 1" screws into the headboard.

Step 3 - Route the USB cable

Feed the USB end of the camera cable down the headboard and into the computer cabinet.

Step 4 - Connect to the computer

Plug the USB end of the Replay Camera cable into the port labelled "USB REPLAY CAMERA" on the back of the computer.

Step 5 - Place the lid over the camera

Place the lid over the camera housing. The lens adjustment rings are accessible from under the housing lid if fine-tuning is needed later.

Part 2 - Assign Camera

Step 6 - Assign the camera

In the setting panel on the kiosk, go to the "Camera Settings" tab and tap assign cameras. Follow the on screen instruction.

Part 3 - Adjust Replay Camera

NOTE

Do not tighten any locking screws until all adjustments are complete.

Step 7 - Open the live replay feed

To open the feed tap the "View Feed"  button. _Kiosk → Camera Settings → Replay Camera → "View Feed". You will need the feed visible while making physical adjustment.

Step 8 - Understand the lens (5–50 mm varifocal)

The lens has three rings: Zoom (wide or tight shot), Aperture/Iris (brightness), and Focus (sharpness). Adjust them in order: Aperture → Zoom → Focus.

Step 9 - Set the aperture (brightness)

Adjust the aperture ring until the player is well lit and details are visible without overexposure. Avoid images that are too dark or washed-out. Leave all locking screws loose at this stage.

Step 10 - Set the zoom

Adjust the zoom ring until the player is fully visible during a throw with space around them. Avoid over-zooming (player gets cropped) or zooming too wide (player appears too small).

Step 11 - Adjust the camera angle

Tilt and angle the mount so the player's full body is visible during a throw and the camera points straight forward. Avoid angling too far down (crops the head) or too far up (crops the table out of view).

Step 12 - Set the focus

Slowly rotate the focus ring while watching the live feed and stop when the player appears sharp.

Step 13 - Lock the camera

Carefully tighten all camera locking screws. Re-check the live feed to confirm nothing shifted - if the image moved, loosen, readjust, and re-tighten.

Optimal Target Framing

Ideal replay camera framing

The final image should show:

  • Player fully visible during a throw (head to waist minimum)
  • Player centered horizontally
  • Camera level, not tilted
  • Image sharp and well exposed

Final Test

To do a final test start a session and play a game of Neoshuffle, keep your eye out for a replay and make sure everything looks right.
